The Tooth Fairy Better Not Forget to Visit Tonight!

As I was busy packing, feeding the baby, and chatting on the phone all at the same time, Peyton emerged from my bedroom with a bloody tooth in her hand. We knew she had another loose tooth, but didn't realize it was ready to fall out. There was no screaming or fear this time. She just took it upon herself to go quietly into the bathroom and yank out her own tooth. Crazy, since the tooth she lost about 3 weeks ago was loose for like a month and we couldn't even dare touch it or joke about pulling it out for her. She would freak out and have a mini panic attack. To see the sense of accomplishment and pride in her face when she showed us her tooth was priceless.

Getting Ready......

I thought I had so much time to get ready for my 6 week adventure and now I have only 2 days!! This is how it always is with me. I am so excited, yet incredibly anxious at all I have to get done in the next couple of days. I should have been packing all week and getting organized, but I found way better things to do like go to the beach! Since we have moved to Florida, we have found the beach is what keeps us sane and makes us forget typical everyday life stresses. Once all the sunscreen is applied, we can just sit and play in the sand or splash around in the ocean with the kids. If we are lucky, we can catch a minute or two of pure relaxation with no one asking a million questions about extinct animals, whats for lunch, why can't babies walk and talk, and where does the water in the ocean come from! We love the beach and now my son apparently loves the taste of the beach and everything that washes ashore. Sand, seaweed, seashells, dead crab legs all go into the mouth and are eaten. Lovely, I know. I can't wait to change his next diaper. Now I am off to vacuum the beach out of the car and begin organizing and packing.
