Kai's First Ouchie :(

Kai sustained his first injury today. Of course it was to the head in plain sight for all to see. There were three dogs in our small kitchen and he tripped over one and hit his forehead on the wall corner. There were breathless screams, the ones where you have to bang them on the back to take a breath and lots of tears. I kept waiting for blood to start spilling out, but I think it will just turn into a nasty big bruise.  He bounced back after a bottle of warm milk and a snuggle.

It wasn't long until he moved onto something else, like banging spoons on everything.

and throwing them on the floor

Feed Us!

Hey kid, you gonna share that bowl of snacks with us?

No way Cali! I already ate them all. See?

Told ya. No snack for you!

Grandpa and Grandma Visit!

Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit last weekend! We had such a great time exploring the area and going to all sorts of fun places. We went to Jungle Gardens where the kids could feed and get really close to the flamingos, hold an alligator and a bird. We went to GWiz science museum where Peyton was in heaven and even got to be a little helper during an animal show. The Tampa Zoo was amazing! We can't wait to go back in a few weeks! We got to feed giraffes and one even got a little cheeky with me and tried to eat my hair! We found a great little restaurant  on the beach where we were attacked by seagulls. It was great fun and Peyton and Eliza found some shark teeth. Andy and I got an evening out to see Avatar which was much needed, while the kids baked a giant chocolate chip cookie with Grandma. The dogs, however, managed to get it off the counter and devour most of it. We had a wonderful weekend and the kids loved having their grandparents here. The kids will have some great memories from their visit!

Very happy holding a baby gator

Kai thinks he has flamingo food in his hand.

Hey, get back here flamingos!

Peyton rescued a Giant American Moth from being eaten by ants. The moth had a broken wing, so Peyton made a small habitat for it, so it could die in peace! Such a sweety.

It's Always Fun Until.................

It was a beautiful day for a bike ride yesterday. The girls wanted to show off for Kai , so we found  place for them to show us their mad skills. Skills like biking with no feet, eyes closed, and speed were the tricks of the day.

Practicing

I don't have all day, ladies!

Notice no feet on the pedals

Practicing speed racing

I am just happy beeping my horn

Yeah no feet again! I am awesome!

Speeding around like a tornado. This does not end well! See the red truck? She flew into the back of it and banged up her leg and pride. Poor girl. I saw it coming a mile away and she told me to stop worrying. What are we going to do with this child? She is accident waiting to happen at all times. Good thing we have ice packs and band aids galore.
