Kai Goes to Preschool

Kai started at Friends in Christ (FIC) today. Andy and I love this preschool so much and the girls were so happy there that I know Kai will have a wonderful time too. We got all ready this morning and he kept saying lets goggogogogogogo. I am not sure if he wanted to go to school or just go out of the house because he loves running errands and just getting out. He loved watching me pack his things into his backpack and listened to me as I  explained everything that I was putting in.
We walked into his classroom where it was calm until one child started crying, then the next and the next and then Kai.
I scooped him up and we hung up his backpack and looked around the classroom at all the toys and screaming children.  He was only whimpering, so I was not too worried at this point.  Kai noticed a snack on the table and wiggled to get down and went to check it out.  He sat down on a chair and started eating and that was my cue to hit the road.
I  miss my little companion so much that when I got home from running my errands I opened his door to get him out and he wasn't there.  I felt like such an idiot! I will get used this soon enough.

i asked Kai to go get his shoes for school and these are what he brought me
he is so into fashion, it is adorable :)

Eliza Loses Another Tooth

It seems as though the Tooth Fairy is flying into our home every week.  Eliza has lost her second tooth and was super excited. She wrote a note to the fairy explaining that Daddy is not here and would like to keep her tooth to show him. Eliza was very pleased when she looked under her pillow and found her tooth still there, along with $1.05 in nickels and dimes. She put her tooth in a baggy and tried to bring it to school for show and tell. Peyton and I told her that was gross and it would get lost and she, finally, agreed!
At this point, Peyton has lost 6 teeth and Eliza has lost 2. I love looking at their gapped smiles and buck teeth. So cute!

Missing The Beach

We are bored and all we want to do is pack up and head to the beach for some serious outdoor fun. Siesta Key, we miss you!!
These are from our last day at the beach.

All Moved In!

We have been in our new town and home for 10 days now and are feeling pretty good. For some weird reason, there is a part of me that misses our gross, stinky, and moldy apartment and community. I think it is just the beach and palm trees actually! Starting over and learning a new routine is also a bit crazy and stressful. The house, here, is great and the neighborhood has great amenities. We have yet to use the pool or park, but we will soon! The girls started their new school and I am happy to say they LOVE it! Peyton said it has been so easy to make new friends and she loves the way everyone dresses! YAY! She had to wear a uniform for the last 1 1/2 yrs and during the summer for camp, so she is ready for some cool clothes and shopping. Eliza got into trouble on the second day of school for talking too much. Is anyone surprised by this? She seems to like her teacher anyway and is so excited to have made a friend named Daphne. Eliza thinks she is the coolest because Daphne is her favorite Scooby Doo character.
Everyone is adjusting much quicker and happier than I expected and I am so relieved. We have had play dates and sleep overs with old friends and I know they are excited about playing with new friends too. Kai is adjusting well too and loves all his new play space. I have been able to organize and unpack while he plays in another room! He has developed a love for cars and trucks and zooms them all along the floor and furniture. He starts preschool on Tuesday, so that should be interesting. I will keep you posted on that.
Here are some pics of the new pad and the girls first day of school.

The dogs are most excited to see Kai!

Home Again

After an incredible 6 week adventure we are home. Well, for 3 1/2 days and then it is off to TEXAS!! We are unpacking and repacking for the big move. The kids are bouncing of the walls, after spending 3 days in the car, and Kai is roaming around like he is lost. Thankfully, on the drive down, we were able to stop and visit with some wonderful friends and the kids were able to play and swim! Our time away went way too quickly, Andy would argue that it went too slowly, but it really did fly by. Peyton and Eliza have some great memories to hold onto while they wait for next summer to come around again.
In the meantime, we need to embrace our next adventure and get them excited about starting a new school in a new neighborhood in a new town. Uggg
