Celebration of Learning

We went to the girls school on Friday to help celebrate the end of the first semester. The kids who received straight As on their report cards got to stand up and be applauded. Our sweet Eliza was included in that group! We are so proud of her hard work and study habits.
The next awards were given out by each teacher. Each teacher chose a boy and a girl from their class who they felt demonstrated great improvement in their work, great character, kindness towards others, and helpful in class. Out of all the girls in Peytons class she was chosen!! We are so thrilled for her and know she was totally surprised. We are extremely proud of Peyton and couldn't be more pleased. I am so glad the school gives out awards like this.  Children need to know that being a kind caring soul, helpful, and a hard worker doesn't go unnoticed. Peyton is very lucky to have a teacher who notices her wonderful qualities and not just her grades. By the way, she did make all As and Bs on her last report card.

A New Room For Kai

After dragging my feet for months, Kai is finally in a big boy room where he can play and grow! He never went into his room to play when the crib was in there because it was so boring and babyish. He is loving his new room that his big sister, Peyton, helped decorate. She chose his bedding and the decorations. It is now his own space, so hopefully he will start leaving his sisters things alone ;)

If Kai knew Cabo was on his bed, he would freak out!
He loves the cat, but cant stand when Cabo is in his room or on his bed :)
