Kai is just like his mommy and finds the bath the best place ever. A nice warm bath can cure any bad mood and just makes you feel better :)

Fall
Fall is usually my favorite season.
I love the cooler weather. The smell of the air on a cool night is my absolute favorite!
This year, I introduced the kids to caramel apples. They were just as fun to make as they were to eat.
I wasn't pleased with the caramel on my couch, but my handy Andy fixed it right up.
I love hearty meals, like Shepherd's Pie and anything that involves mashed potatoes.
There was beefy vegetable goodness under all that mash!
I love watching the leaves change color.
This is our single tree and its leaves have been turning beautiful shades
of yellows and oranges.
Here is why I am not thrilled with Fall this year.
Tummy bugs, sinus infections and colds.
GERMS GERMS and more Germs.
Kai is always hit the hardest. It used to be Eliza, but now it is Kai.
Peyton bounces back quickly, thank goodness because she can not handle being ill.
Eliza accepts her sicknesses and deals and Kai is a mixture of the two. He manages at first and then gets grossed out and really pissed off. The poor kid has missed so many days of preschool, but hello, every time I send him he comes home and either throws up or has a cold.
He will be home this week because I don't want him sick for Thanksgiving and Nonnie's visit.

The fact that he fell asleep during Thomas was not a good sign of things to come.
This position is best for a stomach ache.
Lulu kept a watchful eye on Kai as he tossed and turned.
still asleep at 10:30 am
And finally, this! I can't keep up with the laundry.
I overheard Eliza yesterday say, "FINALLY,there is underwear in my drawer!"
Tina, send me your laundry vibes I need some serious help!
Just an FYI, when trying to rehydrate your children with Gatorade H2, don't use the red fruit punch flavor.
It stains.

My Girls and Their Journals
The girls spent hours the other night creating their own journals. Peyton's was, of course, Dinosaurs and Eliza's was about horses. Peyton has been, religiously, working on her field journal and has become an avid fan of a new Nickelodeon show Dino Dan. Too bad he doesn't live on our street. I am certain she will find real dinosaur bones one day. This week, Eliza's life goal is to become a horse trainer, so that is where she is drawing her inspiration from. I love their creativity!
working hard and making a mess
The girls looking a bit unkept, but it was late. Nice pose and fake smile E!

Chef Andy
Besides BBQing and a few egg dishes, Andy hasn't really been involved in meal preparations. Ever, in our 12 years together. Imagine my surprise when he busted out the mandolin and started making homemade potato chips and french fries. Delicious!!
Notice the fly swatter? Gross Andy. Good thing I came around and moved that disgusting thing.
perfectly sliced fries
delicious chips
Eliza tried peeling a potato and cut her finger. She will survive.
Yummy bacon and cheese fries!

C-A-N-D-Y-C-A-N-D-Y
The kids had a great time trick or treating last night. Kai, sort of, got the hang of it. Andy ended up putting him in the stroller for a bit because he was slowing everyone down. I think he will be a pro by next Halloween. While he was trick or treating his candy bag got heavier and heavier, but wouldn't let anyone hold it for him. He dragged that thing all over the neighborhood, so I wonder how many pieces fell out. His bag looked like it had been run over by a truck by the time we were done. Shockingly, actually not really that shocking, the person who has consumed the most candy in the house has been ME!! I must have the biggest sweet tooth in the family. Every time I walk by the kids bags I grab a piece. I can't stop. I am going to have Andy hide it all. The kids don't even really care about their candy. They came home from school and forgot they had it. Kai cares about is though. He loves M&M's and lollies best. I just love it all and can't get enough!!
Hey, wait for me guys!
What did I get?
he wasn't too sure about this house
Peyton rescued him
