Getting Ready......

I thought I had so much time to get ready for my 6 week adventure and now I have only 2 days!! This is how it always is with me. I am so excited, yet incredibly anxious at all I have to get done in the next couple of days. I should have been packing all week and getting organized, but I found way better things to do like go to the beach! Since we have moved to Florida, we have found the beach is what keeps us sane and makes us forget typical everyday life stresses. Once all the sunscreen is applied, we can just sit and play in the sand or splash around in the ocean with the kids. If we are lucky, we can catch a minute or two of pure relaxation with no one asking a million questions about extinct animals, whats for lunch, why can't babies walk and talk, and where does the water in the ocean come from! We love the beach and now my son apparently loves the taste of the beach and everything that washes ashore. Sand, seaweed, seashells, dead crab legs all go into the mouth and are eaten. Lovely, I know. I can't wait to change his next diaper. Now I am off to vacuum the beach out of the car and begin organizing and packing.

  3. Especially if mcdonalds is left in it! Gross! I will never be able to get all the sand out. It is in every nook and cranny!

  4. I made the mistake of giving lil' D a sugared donut this morning in the car. All my cleaning yesterday was in vain. I had to do the back seat and floors all over again. I was wondering if schlacking the seats would do the trick, like on hardwood floors.
