So, the girls depression about school being over lasted a mere 3 to 4 hours. As soon as daddy got home he took them to the pool for a nighttime swim. Just what they needed. Daddy time and pool time all in one! When they got home, we had family movie night and watched Aliens in the Attic and ate brownies. It was a really fun movie, FYI. They went off to bed about 10pm happily and fell right to sleep.
Today, I have not a heard a peep about school being over, missed friends, or their teachers. What I have heard and have been dealing with all morning are fighting, yelling, crying, time outs, constant I'm hungrys, a busted bloody lip, dogs eating kids sandwiches, clean laundry piles thrown onto the floor, packed boxes of things being unpacked, and a spilled juice box on my computer. Now, I am sad and want school to be in session!! WAAAA
Anyway, it is quiet now because the girls are watching a movie and Kai is napping. I had a fun play date all set up for today, but Peyton was doing a balancing act with one of Kai's toy cars and an accident ensued. She was laying on her back and had her legs up and a toy car was going back and forth from foot to foot and it fell, of course. It smashed her upper lip and it immediately started gushing and puffed up nice and big. It actually looks quite sore and there is a cut that goes through. She refused to leave the house, so here we are. Never a dull moment, ever!
There have been a few silly moments today, however and I really am glad the kids are back their normal selves. Maybe. No, really I am :)
Peytons new dog, Kai. He loved being on the leash. Not sure that is a good thing.
Eliza was ready to go shopping, alone! She wants shoes, of course, just like all of her Grandmas!
OMGoodness, what a day you had, well, all of you. get some good rest tonight, senorita. tomorrow will be another day full of madness...wait, i meant fun-ness! xxo.
