Teeth seem to be coming and going in this household lately! I feel like Kai has been cutting teeth since he was 4 months, yet he only has 2 1/4 teeth. Peyton has 2 1/2 holes in her mouth from losing teeth. Funny huh? So, last night Peyton kept saying her top tooth hurt and she needed to pull it out. I told her leave me out of it and just yank it out. I can't stand the feeling of a wiggly tooth and the blood, oh the sight of blood, sends me over the edge! I can handle poopy diapers, vomit, and curdled milk in a bottle that somehow rolled under the couch for days, but not blood! It seems Peyton may have a little vampire in her because she loves the taste of her blood when she loses a tooth. She worked on it for 30 minutes and nothing happened. Back to bed she went. When Andy got home from soccer, he went to check on her and sure enough she was still awake. The next 40 minutes were filled with screams, ewws, no daddy, mmmm blood, and 1,2,3 pull!! Finally, it was out! Into the box the tooth went and it will go under the pillow tonight. Apparently, the tooth fairy was out of cash last night.
Kai has his big front tooth coming in. With this going on, he has started a new annoying habit. He grinds his bottom teeth with his quarter top one and makes a horrible noise. He has been knawing on his hands, feet, furniture, and everything he shouldn't have in his mouth. Dirty shoes, dog bones, dog bowls, paper towels, the leather chair, the camera, and my shoulder are just a few of Kai's teething objects. I just hope his teeth don't start coming in too fast, because I love his little beaver smile!!
Teething seems like it lasts for years! They may not remember it, but I think it scars us for life. :)
